Locomotive Dismantle
SMIRAIL is able to Purchase and Dismantle your Locomotive Assets On-Site with our Mobile Dismantle crew.
We are currently in the market to purchase EMD and GE Locomotives in any condition for Dismantle.

SMIRAIL is providing full Truck Frame Rebuilds for GP, AAR Switcher, flexicoil and HTC truck frames.

Wheel Reprofiling
SMI Rail now offers wheel Reprofiling at our facility in Houston TX.
We are using the state of the art Wheel Hog By Delta Wheel Truing Solutions (WTL8200 Portable and Static Wheel Lathe)
This equipment allows us to Reprofile Wheelsets and Traction Motor Combos at our facility in Houston TX.
Also, The Delta Truing machine is portable and provides for wheel Truing at your location.
